How to Create a Gif in Less Than Two Minutes
You can do this on your computer, but I was able to do this on my iPhone in LESS than two minutes! If you are trying this on your iPhone, go ahead and download the GIPHY app. If you are doing this on your computer, you can use the GIPHY website. Follow the 10 quick steps below OR watch the video at the beginning of this post!
Step 1: Record a video of yourself on your iPhone.
Step 2: Open up your web browser on your iPhone and go to: https://www.unscreen.com
Step 3: Click upload clip and choose your video from the photo library. This will remove the background of your video.
Step 4: Click on color and choose a color for the background of your gif. OR you can choose one of the many backgrounds this website includes. I recommend playing around with these options for awhile!
Step 5: When you are ready, click the drop drown menu next to download and click gif. Then, click view.
Step 6: Hold down your finger on the gif and click add to photos.
Step 7: Now exit the browser and open up the GIPHY app. Upload your gif by clicking on the plus sign in the top right-hand corner. Click the picture icon on the bottom right to access your gif.
Step 8: Now click on the letters and add a caption! You can also add pictures and effects if you are interested in snazzing up your gif.
Step 9: When you are done, click the purple arrow in the bottom right-hand corner. Then, click share gif!
Step 10: Save your gif, then open up your photo library. You have successfully made a gif of yourself!
Share your gifs with me here or on Twitter! Please let me know if you have any questions. This will surely brighten up your students’ day while they are learning at home.
