Unleash Your Inner Frizzle: Virtual Field Trips

Am I the only one who wanted to take a ride on Ms. Frizzle’s magic school bus? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Now you CAN by taking your students anywhere using voyager on Google Earth. Our students are currently participating in learning from home activities due to COVID-19. Now would be a great opportunity to implement virtual field trips to increase student engagement. Check out these 5 easy steps below on how to incorporate virtual field trips in your classroom.

5 Easy Steps to Implement Virtual Field Trips

Step 1: Go to the Google Earth website.

Step 2: Click on the “launch Earth” button.

Step 3: Be patient while you wait for Google Earth to load. Keep in mind….there is a LOT of data on our Earth! 🌎

Step 4: Click on the VOYAGER button on the left side panel.

Step 5: Explore the many options that voyager has to offer for virtual field trips. Once you decide on the one you like, copy the url address and send it to students via email or Google classroom.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me on here or on Twitter. Enjoy riding your “magic school bus” ✨

Now I am enjoying it just like kids.
